Hi! I’m Jeri, founder of GenePharmer, LLC. Whether you stumbled upon my page or were referred, I am glad you are here. It is my goal to help as many people as possible find safer and more effective medications, and in some cases to take fewer medications! It would be my honor to help you or a loved one.
I have worked in the healthcare field for more than two decades as both a genetic counselor and a pharmacist. I received my Bachelor’s in Biochemistry from the University of Missouri – Columbia, my Master’s in Medical Genetics from the University of Cincinnati, and my Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. I have also received specialized training in pharmacogenomics and precision medicine through the University of Florida and American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP).
Over the years, I have worked in a variety of settings, including private physician practices, major university medical centers, genetics laboratories, community pharmacy and specialty pharmacy. In each setting, my experience has been that patients are best served with an individualized approach that allows the patient to be heard, accounts for factors that are specific to the patient, and provides the patient with education and resources for their medical conditions, medications, and genetic test results. It was the desire to provide a more individualized approach to medication therapy through merging my two passions, genetics and pharmacy, that led me to create GenePharmer, LLC.
