I partner with concierge and membership-based practices to bring the power of precision prescribing to your patients through a clear, practical service: the Personalized Pharmacotherapy Action Plan (PPAP).

What is a PPAP?
I review the patient’s complete medication list (prescription medications, over-the-counter products, and supplements) along with any available pharmacogenomic (PGx) and nutrigenomic (NGx) reports. From that information I create a detailed, prioritized action plan that is delivered exclusively to you, the prescriber.

There is no direct patient contact from me. The PPAP is designed to fit seamlessly into your existing workflow and give you actionable guidance you can use in clinical decision-making. The goal is to reduce trial-and-error, minimize side effects, support appropriate deprescribing when indicated, and help your patients get the most benefit from their medications.

Why this matters
Nearly every patient can benefit from pharmacogenomic insights, whether for medications they are currently taking or medications they may need in the future. A few points worth considering:

  • Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium (CPIC) guidelines are evidence-based and considered standard of care. There are currently more than two dozen guidelines covering SSRIs, statins, opioids, oncology medications, PPIs, NSAIDs, and others. (Website)
  • The Mayo-Baylor RIGHT 10K Study found that 99.4% of patients had a clinically actionable variant in at least one of 13 pharmacogenes studied, and 79% had variants in three or more of these genes. (Source)
  • Studies in patients with mood or anxiety disorders have shown meaningful reductions in emergency-room visits and hospitalizations, as well as higher response rates, when PGx information is used to guide therapy. (Source 1) (Source 2)

I keep the process simple and efficient for busy concierge practices. You share the relevant medication list and any genetic reports you have. I return a clear, prioritized Personalized Pharmacotherapy Action Plan you can use directly with your patient.
